Structural Engineering
Vice President & Director of Quality Assurance

Mr. Rauch is Vice President and BKBM's Director of Quality Assurance. His experience includes all major building types including educational, historic rehabilitations, correctional and justice facilities. He formulated BKBM's Quality Assurance program and oversees its implementation. He also supervises BKBM's Risk Management program including such issues as loss prevention, general and professional liability insurance, and workers compensation.

Mr. Rauch's structural engineering experience includes previous management of BKBM's civil/structural engineering group. He is currently on the CASE Executive Committee and active on the CASE National "Guidelines" Committee. Mr. Rauch is the Past President of CASE/MN.

  • Hubert H. Humphrey Institute for Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN - Design Engineer for a 3-story poured in place reinforced concrete building.
  • Olmsted County Government Center, Rochester, MN - Project Manager for a 300,000 square foot, six story office building designed for future expansion (10 stories) and a 55,000 square foot, three story law enforcement center, with 100-bed jail, designed for future expansion (5 stories). Project totaled approximately $23.5 million.
  • Carver County Government Center, Chaska, MN - Project Manager for a $15.2 million, 200,000 square foot office building, including design of law enforcement center with jail facility and pedestrian tunnels.
  • Anoka County Government Center, Anoka, MN - Project Manager for design of seven story, 320,000 square foot office building; structure was designed using "high performance" cast in place concrete with wide module joists and post tensioned beams. The structural system accommodates a sophisticated computer, communication and power network through the use of concrete toppings and slab penetrations. Project totaled approximately $17.5 million.
  • United States Embassy, Santiago, Chile - Project Engineer for a 5-story concrete frame building with shear walls designed for Zone 4 Earthquake and for blast.
  • Scanticon, Plymouth, MN - Project Engineer for a conference center complex consisting of a 5-story hotel with a post-tensioned concrete structure, a 2-story conference center with a structural steel frame and precast plank floors, a 3-story recreation center with precast plank and masonry bearing walls and a 1-level parking deck with precast double tees, beams, and columns.
  • Woodwinds Medical Office Building, Woodbury, MN - Project Manager for design of a 100,000 square foot, 3-story, steel framed medical office building.
