Vice President - Structural Group Manager

Mr. Thiesse is a Vice President and BKBM's Structural Group Manager, and is responsible for staff management, development and growth of the group. He has structural engineering experience in designing bridges, skyways, and post-tensioned concrete parking structures.

His experience in civil engineering includes both highway and municipal roadway design. Mr. Thiesse has also been actively involved with construction administration review services for Owners and Lending Institutions.

  • Robbinsdale ISD 281, Robbinsdale, MN - Project Manager for several different projects with the Robbinsdale school district. Schools included Sandberg Middle, Sunny Hollow, Neill Elementary and Armstrong, Robbinsdale High School, and Robbinsdale Learning Center.
  • Orono Middle School, Orono, MN - Project Engineer for a new 115,100 square foot middle school.
  • Shakopee Schools, Shakopee, MN - Project Engineer for several different projects for the Shakopee school district.
  • Northern Lights Casino, Walker, MN - Project Manager for a 87,000 square foot, single story casino with a 3-story, 100 room attached hotel.
  • Winona Middle School, Winona, MN - Project Manager for a new middle school which includes a 650 seat auditorium.
  • Life Fitness, Plymouth, MN -Project Engineer for a single story, 183,636 square foot manufacturing space addition and a two story, 39,000 square foot office addition to the existing building.
  • Catepillar Regional Office Expansion, Roseville, MN - Project Engineer for 30,000 square foot warehouse addition to the north end of the existing building. The project also included minor alterations to the existing building and related site improvements.
  • Bridge 27253, Excelsior, MN - Project Manager for the final bridge design for the T.H. 7 connection (city street) over the Trolley and Recreation Trail.
